Chairman: Hyokichi Tsuji, Honorary Chairman of the Akita Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Akita Convention & visitors Bureau was established as a public organization to promote knowledge and awareness of the benfits that Akita offers to visitors. The bureau is supported by the Akita Chamber of Commerce and Industry and by leading people in the city and prefecture including those in goverment, business education, and other professions. The aim of the bureau and its members, is to foster the development of the local economy and culture and to promote the reputation of Akita City as an international convention city.
